Is there a way to tell who will give you the most exp for a fight? I've attacked bigger players than me won the fight and got 0exp and smaller players and gotten 6exp. Is there a way of determining this?

Mob and influence I go off. I go for someone with about 60-70% my mob and as higher influence as possible, tends to give best XP.

You might have attacked him too much already in 24hrs thats why you get 0exp. Wait 2 days and try to attack again.
