Mob size=TW knowledge dominance? Nope!
Forums › Help & Strategy › Mob size=TW knowledge dominance? Nope!-
Many threads end with "mob up or shut up". Yawnnnnn...for the noobs out there, about 20 minutes of light reading will bring you up to speed on the very few aspects of this game. Some people just don't simply have the time to "mob up". We're fathers/mothers/working/military traveling/gamers. There's got to be a better answer to all TW questions than "mob up". Seriously, read some of these strategy posts and you'll be well on your way. If you don't have time to have a 50k mob, then you better learn the substantially few ins and outs. Thats what I think anyway

Well Done

I agree with what you're saying, and at first, there are only a few ins and outs, but that is not all there is to this game. There are so many finer points that you need to know to be a good player. However, if players consistently show that they are unable to see these finer points, and develop real strategy, then sadly mobbing up is the only answer to give them. I'm now at the point where I'm trying to decide if I want a bigger mob or not.
-
To be sure there is strategy other than merely mobbing up, however the vast majority of threads have the same tired theme. A mobster with 900 mob with a badly equipped mob asks for advice on how to beat this big "bully" with 2000 mob.

Yeah, the key word in your suggestion was "read." This seems to be an issue for a lot of players.

Ok, tell me. Other than going back in time to X-mass to get all the Bren guns like you did, what's your big secret?

Are you referring to Punjab gypsy?

This is what I was really getting at. By no means am I saying I'm a guru or talking down to anyone. I browse the forums regulary (though I hardly ever comment) and it's pretty obvious people don't pub in that effort. Just encouraging newer players to read up on it. My strategy? Well, I play according to the abilities of my mob and equipment, try not to piss too many people off, and get in good with the larger players for when i eventually get in a bind. There's more to it, but I guess that's the simplest explanation.Yeah, the key word in your suggestion was "read." This seems to be an issue for a lot of players.

Sounds like the size of your mob drives your play....

I get what your saying, but here's an example of stuff I see all the time. Later in his thread he says he has no time to punch codes(to his credit he finally agrees and says he'll mob up).
" have had a problem with this fettucini guy. He has 675 mob and I have 295 I'm Level 42 and he is 54. " -

Level doesn't seem to matter in this game, unless you count the stat upgrades. And some people simply don't have the time to punch code. I'm rarely in front of a computer, and when I am, I'm dedicated to audio engineering (I'm sure other people have their own reasons). I'd punch on the fly with the invite code forum, but it's the same ole codes so I got tired of punching to fing that "players already in your mob". I'm fine with what I got. I rarely get that message with temp codes.

I got my first 6k just from the invite forum. You can also use code sites on your phone. A computer makes it faster but isn't required.Publius Roofus wrote:

With all due respect, if you don't have the time or make the time to punch codes, you will most likely not be very successful at this game. I also read extensively, but was getting my ass kicked at 2k mob. I still get beatterrifically at near 10k but it's a whole other game.
