If I fight someone it adds up the highest attacking weapon stats and highest armor attacking stats against the defending persons best defence of weapons stats plus their best armor defensive stats....and these weapons/armor can only be used if there are mob members to use them. After that there is a random factor that fluctuates right? But I was wondering is there also any more advantage if you are defending? I thought I had read somewhere about a 30% defence upgrade, or was this simply with vendettas? Thanks for the help.

with vendettas the people in the vendetta get a 40% defense decrease from people who are not targeted in their vendetta. People say you need about 30% more mobbies than someone to beat them,
if you are both fully armed.

That has changed. 16/13 is the new ratio. ~22%
