There's this guy. He's pretty noob. But over 25. Anyways. He.... Has got a NICE handful of turf just WAITING there to be taxed. Id rather tax for extran $ then take turf that aren't mine. I did take one of his turf and he obviously is no where near being able to beat me. I mean, what's fair? I know this isn't hug wars but I don't wanna be like overly douchy.

Forget level; look at the length of time he's been playing. I think new players should be given a month to get on their feet before making them pay protection. It's not easy for them to make money early on, especially if they are working on mobbing up & leveling slowly.

Is looking at when their turf was created the only way to tell how long someone has been playing?

I usually look at their turf & their comments. Make sure you look for their oldest turf they planted, since a capped turf is often older.
