A new player asked for my help with a bully. I looked into it, and the guy admitted to being a bully by keeping the kid in the ER for an extended amount of time. So I joined the vendetta to help him, thinking that I was doing the right thing.
When I woke up the next day loads of my turf had been attacked, and there were posts on my wall from people I hadn't even heard from. The kid added players to the V after I joined, that didn't do anything wrong. In fact never had even the smallest contact with anyone in the V. The new target has big friends that defended him. I don't think it's fair that they can add/change targets after I joined....it wasn't what I signed up for.

My question is.....what do you do to make sure you can trust the creater of the V? What do you look for besides the actual situation at hand before joining a vendetta?

Also, how would you handle the kid in this situation? I sent him to the ER to think about what he's done. Also explaining that he put a target on my back, when I was just trying to help him out.

My limited experience with vendettas have taught me 99% of them can be settled by talking to both parties involved. Most of the trivial complaint players have for starting a V are just that, trivial. So the old saying is still true "look before you leap". Talk to both sides at length.

I won't join a V unless I know the person inviting me way to easy to piss someone off with huge friends

I did do that, but in this case it didn't matter. The original target admitted to constantly attacking the kid with no reason, keeping him in the ER. I think the original target was justified, but after people joined the V the kid added targets that nothing to do with it.

Don't join a V unless you know the person that created it. Talk to both sides before joining. If you join a V & anything does get weird, leave.
If you are close enough to that kid, you should give him a good capping!

You got burned. Don't be put off. You went in for the right reasons. It's worth talking to the others about your situation. And also remember you can post in the v so all parties see what you have put.

He must have been attacked by the friends because he closed the V shortly thereafter. I've tried to talk to him but he won't respond. Lost cause I guess. I'll be staying away from vendettas till I'm bigger and know the person in need
