Hopping?

I think I have a good general idea about this but can someone explain IN GREAT DETAIL how to do this successfully? I feel a though I'm missing something. Thanks.

Alright, since I know you, I shall exlain. There are two places, where you are is point A and where you want to be is point B. Plant a turf at point A. Use the Plant radius, or the green circle, to plant another turf in direction of point B, then upgrade that turf. Continue doing this until you hit your turf limit. Once you hit your turf limit, you must tear down turf from the hop which you no longer need. This will be all the turf except the one you planted last, make sure you do not tear this turf down because if you do, you will have to start all over. Repeat this process until you reach point B.
Also, for longer hops, you will have to follow roads and highways to avoid deadspots, or where the geocoder does not recognize a road.
Also, Instead leaving all but one after you tear down, I recommend tearing down all but two. Nothing is worse than accidently tearing down your foothold and having to start all over

Thank you

I haven't hopped myself, but a good idea would be to leave a safety turf behind every once in a while in case someone decides to cap your hop turfs.

Another helpful strategy is using loot upgrades to extend the radius.
What I mean by that is build up your turf however much you want (I do all but the warehouse and gambling den because of the cost) then add your loot upgraded to extend the radius, and build your next turf. Go back to the previous turf and unequip the loot upgrades (I delete the turf at this point) and build up the new turf.
It takes a little more time per turf, but you can go farther for less money this way, and ultimately I do think you cover more ground in the same amount of time doing it this way.
