How busting on missions works
Forums › Help & Strategy › How busting on missions works-
I've received a couple questions on how busting on missions works, so here's a overview.
Every time you run a mission, there's a chance you'll get busted by the cops. If you do, you'll still use the energy for running the mission and pay a fine for your criminal behavior.
The chance of getting busted depends on 2 main factors. First, certain missions always have a higher risk than others. Also, your overall police relations (displayed at the top of the missions screen) is taken into account.
Your police relations are an average of your police relations across all cities you're based in. Buying local police protection will decrease your overall chance of getting busted since it improves your overall relations with the police. However for the higher-level missions the risk is so high that even Cordial relations won't save you - here's where you need to spring for the global protection.
We're going to be updating the missions over the next few weeks to tweak their risk and rewards - stay tuned!

Thanks for the info! 😋

I would assume not since it doesn't sat you got it.

So now I'm gonna have to start spending my reward points more often.

I like this. The risk makes it interestng.
And if I understand you correctly Nick, this will place a greater emphasis on being Capo?
Because the more places you are capo of, the better you average for police relations.
So I assume that would reduce the risk of being busted?
I have a couple dozen or so Capos and maybe three places where I am not Capo and I've hardly been busted. That seems to support my theory.
But I've only been doing ransom and I currently have global protection.

Thanks for the info

Hmmmm. Well i have global protection and yet i still got busted. Lol. Not that i care cause i think its still awsome. Just wanted to make sure it was normal to still get busted with purchased global portection. Thanks.

What mission did you do? I haven't been doing anything but ransom and I got busted maybe once in every 30 missions.

I have capo in all cities except one and I get busted about every ten times doing the ransom mission... You would think being capo in about ten places and not capo in only one would give me better odds than that unless it is possibly based on the number of turfs you have that you aren't the capo of?

Aka, here's where u need to spring the $$$ to get outta it. Fine for now, but don't make the game require buying points. That's where sweet deal went wrong

The purpose behind it is 'buy' respect pts & pay global protection (hint: 5 pts) weekly.. Lol that's the message I get since getting busted seems fairly certain for higher jobs anyway. Remember Nick is currently only @ theToyota hybrid keyyyyyyboooaarrrddd! We need to support him to the Telsa 2010 Roadster!!! Rofl...

I have yet to get busted. I just want it to happen. I do have global protection because I'm capo of 3 places, only 1 of which has any other players in it. and I pretty much only snatch purses cuz I'm a big pussy. but I did bigger missions and no cigar.

I've been busted 5 out of 6 times on a mission that carries a minor risk. Either I am the unluckiest person on the planet or "minor" doesn't mean what I think it means.
