I have a small town that I live near that has been totaly taken over by a newb, he has taken almost every turf from the 4 or 5 players in town bot including some inactives he also capped. Now he is pretty much the only person in town now. With living a rural area it really sucks for turf income, and having those 5 or so back in the area would help. How does one go about setting up the safe zone? Warn/threaten/intimidate the bad guy and invite the others back with the understanding that if he caps them again he will be wiped out? I know I don't have a huge mob, but it's large enough for the area for the time being. Any thoughts or suggestions are appreciated.

I would suggest having a muscle in the city. Meaning someone big who could take any trouble maker in the zone. Also, it's best to keep a safezone secret to the people who you are certain you could trust. Anybody could come through and ruin an entire zone if it gets too popular. I also found it helpful to lay some rules such as keep all turfs to 86 and no capping.

They are all small town players, figuratively and literally. Most of them are only 1-2k mobs and I'm easily twice the size of the bad guy in question, I wouldn't have a problem at all taking the turfs from him. This would probably be more like an unofficial safe zone, just to get the people back in the area. I can't see any of them building new turf there now since this guy has just capped like 20 turfs in the lay week. Why build when he will just cap them again

Have you talked to him about it? I mean if he keeps ruining the economy then I believe you just have to take him out. Also contact those other players and tell them your proposition regarding a safe zone.

And I forgot who they were, but there were a couple of veterans who managed to make Houston, Texas a safe zone for either almost or more than a year. It's possible, and a really good way to make money with enough players.

I just came across that this guy took over the town, I was there the other week for a job application and tomorrow I'm going for an interview so since I was gonna be in town I figured I would plant some turf while I'm there. I was scouting a location to where I wanted to plant my turf and was shocked when I saw the whole town has been wiped out. It makes me really mad because there are not alot of players in the area to begin with, and a bully like this is part of the reason so many noobs quit.
