Having the top 20 is interesting to look at, but if you're new it'll be tough to crack.

Have a Top List that shows you in the middle and the 10 people above you and below you in each category / region.

That way new players can see progress of their game play as they pass people on their own lists.

I've always liked the idea of this of this. It increases the competitiveness of the game for newer players as they level up & rise through the ranks.

I threw an idea out some time ago to expand the leaderboards out & show the top 100...since the recent leaderboard update came out, I've been way more into adding to my stats & rising up the list.

I like your idea though!
