Attack bonus when your on targets turf

I think it would be interesting if you got an attack bonus against a player and their turf if you are located on their turf at the time. It would encourage gps use and local play. It would also mean if an outsider invades your area and leaves it would make it easier to drive them off. I think it would be more exciting and add an element of realism

There's already something in place..... Not a bonus but when a player reaches a new area his defences are down for like 4 weeks 👍

Really? Didn't know that. Still think it would be fun to drive across town to take on an enemy, or make a big score. I think a gps game should encourage you to go new places, or see somewhere new. Bonuses for exploring and getting out there!

I've not got a touch. Does it use 3G? I still think they would just have to find a way to connect. If you choose to play a gps game you need to be prepared to be able to move

I like this idea! As a GPS game it would be fun to see location-based bonuses! 😋 Attack bonuses for when players are just traveling through or defense bonuses to give a 'hometown advantage' to players against turf-hoppers from far away (after all, if you live there then you would likely know the turf better- so bonus!) This concept would encourage turf warriors to get out of their house and drive to places they may have never been before- pretty groundbreaking stuff
The only problem I see is that people who cannot just drive around due to health, age, or cost (gas is ridiculous!) would occasionally be at a disadvantage. However, I think the part that attracts most players to TurfWars is the use of GPS, so to see more done with that will excite current players and help to separate this game from other 'mafia/mob/gang game' competitors for new players!

I agree there will be some at a small disadvantage, but it us a gps game! You should expect to have to move around.
I think it will also help level the playing field, stronger players often seem to have many turfs all over the place, so as they grow stronger they will be open to more players who might be able to take them on! Could also make it the further away you are from your turf the more bonus your opponent gets, after all, what kinda real mobster could hold turf in a city he's never in!Going to someone's turf to attack them, we should call it a drive-by!

Awesome! I agree the GPS aspect of the game needs an overhaul now that the airports have taken a lot of it away. I still think the idea of attacking from your current location, without having to have turf in the area needs to be explored.

Isn't this meant to be a gps based game? You should expect to have to move around due to the nature of the game, and if you can't or won't, you should be at a disadvantage
There is still wifi for touch users. A lot of places have it these days. A little more work sure, but it would make the game much better

How do you play TW on an ipod without wifi connection? And if there is no wifi, just tether it with your mobile.

I like this a lot. Maybe even have things like.....a safe house. Where if you are physically at that location then you can't be attacked for an hour. Limited to one hour per 24 hours. Or your health rejouvinates a bit faster if you are at a certain location.
There a lot of ways that the GPS aspect could be expanded and I think some should be considered. Like maybe a better chance of loot if you travel for a certain mission. Sounds fun

Yeh, you could set one turf as your fortress, and when you're in it you get a defence boost. I guess most people would make it their home to help protect against overnight raiders. It would also help noobies yet their foot in the door without getting beaten up as much
I just think anything that increases the movement and action of the game would be good. It's meant to be a gps game, yet you can still build an empire without leaving your house

This is a great idea!!! The turfs around your house just mean more then the rest. And it is a gps game.
I hope this or something like it will be brought into the game.

Maybe if you got a defensive bonus for nearby turfs (based on your last location). Then iPod users wouldn't be at as much of a disadvantage. And the far-flung parts of your empire would be defensively weaker.
However, the OP's idea of attack bonus sounds a lot more epic and exciting than the defensive bonus. -
