Levels 1-20

you new to the game. You're playing. You're leveling up. You're trying to figure it out and what the best strategies are. You applying your skill points where you think they're the best.

Level 21-34

by now you have a fairly decent idea of how the game works. Maybe you start changing your strategy. You apply your skill points a little differently. Maybe you wish earlier you would have applied them differently too. Ah well. It's still early in the game. There's plenty of points to acquire, so you font really sweat it.

Level 35

by this point you've got a solid working knowledge of the game and you're at the crossroads. What direction do you want to go now? ＂Hmmm. I wish I would have applied my points differently".

So why not at level 35, and ONLY at level 35, offer a one time only point reset?

Why level 35?

1. You should be pretty well versed in this game by now and know where you want to take your character.

2. Level 35 is still low enough that changing your stats here would really help your future game play, and

3. Level 35 is still low enough that resetting your stats won't significantly alter the balance of the game where others are concerned.

Point 3 is I feel it should be one time only and level 35 only. Or some other very limited window of opportunity.

It would also be necessary to have another popup in addition to the promotion popup. I, and I'm sure many others, just dismiss them without reading after a certain point.

So, promotion popup appears. You dismiss it. New popup appears with opportunity to resert skill stats.

It could be a freebie deal. It could cost a certain amount of game cash %age based on your cash), or respect points.

Although limiting to level 35, it may just have to be a freebie.

Or it could be taxed. Reset your stats, but you give up 10 skill points for the opportunity.

One last note-because of the level 35 restriction, it would have to be given to all current players retroactively, regardless of there level.

That's a pretty solid idea. I'm at level 34 and kinda bummed about the att/def thing...it's just a game so I'll move on fine haha. I mean just look at one of my turfs...it's not like I have a lot of enemies but calyn.
I think your chart is very accurate Charlie, I do support your idea but what about the guys that are at level 36-37 when this idea is passed. Don't get me wrong Nick this game is awesome and sweet don't let a few complaints get in the way.

When you hit lvl 60 and you Wasted most of your points, it becomes very hard to lvl up. You have much less energy than you should so it takes longer to get more points to spend on energy. When you spend your 3 points on energy to try and make up for your losses, it is useless because now you need much more exp to lvl up again. It's a never ending cycle and we need a point reset

O agree and understand completely. I'm level 75 and leveling up is going veryyyy slowlyyyy. And I'm too much of a turf whore to use respect points anywhere else.

Just be patient and see what happens. Nick has given us plenty of things we've been asking for. It would be nice if he did this, but I imagine there certain things like bug fixes and exploits that take priority, as well as other game play features.

Pretty sure the priorities right now are getting the game up to date with the new iPhone operating system that is coming out later this summer. We can only hope that he adds some of these things while reprogramming the game for all the other cool stuff the iPhone 4 OS is offering.
