New Forum: The Outhouse

I think there should be a new forum called "The Outhouse" or something similar. I get this idea from the forums over a DevShed.

Everything posted in the forum is "flushed" after a month and it counts nothing towards post count (I'm aware we don't have post counts on here). It's basically a...shit house. I think this would alleviate a bunch of topics on the verge of blatant spam from General Discussion. There could also be an anything goes type rule...if it offends you, don't read it or don't complain.

Nope. What if there actually good posts and there still discussed after a month. Then your screwed and it will slowly lose popularity untill it is completly forgoten

No... I forgot how they did it...if it was still fairly active then it got spared from the monthly "flush". I'll look up how they did it and report back.

How's that iggy? And remember, it's reserved for the shit posts of the forum...that sucky thread some idiot revives from 13 weeks ago.

Picking up where i left off in Nicks' Necromancy thread, as suggested in here, maybe a new forum is needed?

I don't know if I would call it the Outhouse thou. Maybe The Attic?

Then threads beyond a certain age in General could auto move to that new forum. When bumped and replied to, they remain in "The Attic". That way, everyone can still access them, no one loses anything, and bumpmonkeys can bump their little hearts out all day long. And those that simply don't give a rat's ass anymore about the old threads, or get annoyed by all the bumping, could simply stay out of that forum.

Yeah chainsaw, i do like the idea of moving threads into the new forum. As for the name...attic doesn't sound bad (or basement to go along with it, maybe a little more suiting for all the basement dwellers who cause this problem).

Basement sounds better than attic. Or how about The Graveyard?
