Why are we restricted to building on or near streets? Just curious.

I would love to see this restriction go away. There are so many cool spots I would love to hike to and capture. Landmoeks and POIs too.

And I'm sure there are lots of places that would be coveted and fought over out there too.

It's a realism rule - otherwise you'd see turf in the middle of the Atlantic or San Francisco Bay all the time.

Actually, SF bay is possible. The map recognizes ferry routes as streets. The Bay and thecEnglish Channel have been crossed.
