I am in Honolulu for APEC.🏄🌴. There are a lot of foreign leaders in town. 🇯🇵🇺🇸🇷🇺🇨🇳🇰🇷. It should be that the established players make more income during the conference because in RL the locals would just charge more. Only applies to the airport zone for duration of event and only for big events. World cup, Olympics, G8 summit, etc. For those who could not make it to the airport for the event, keep in mind it is a GPS game. Aloha!🌈🌈

Youre confusing me what are you talking about? Foreign leaders? Olympics? Events? Am I to understand you want to close off the airport where you're at during "special events"? What about all the other ones. The olympics aren't always in hawii. N what do you mean make more income in the conference halls?

When an event comes to town, established mobsters make more income for the duration. $53k becomes $70k. Or an increase of 1/3. The olympics arent always in hawaii so this bonus should occur at different airports.

I like the way you think. But, when I think Olympics or the world cup, I don't think of mobs making more money. Doesn't make sense.

Would make more sense that turfs would make more money in areas of unrest. Political, riots, RL wars, etc. That would be really hard to keep up with though.

It would be hard to define "event." Big cities have "events" going on all the time. I doubt nick has time to keep up with them or verify them if players suggest them.

Why would it only apply to airports? Events aren't usually held at airports.

I think this would be too complicated.

Let me try again. Everywhere i travel, when i land I have to pay "foreigner fee". When an event comes to a town we all know that prices go up. When the event leaves, prices return to normal. Nick does not need to follow every event, he can even make some up like The Gangster Capone Memorial conference at O'Hare or something. The reason for airports is more people have access to them than to a particular city. Nick can create a schedule of sanctioned events. How many airports are there 15, one a month or every two months. Lasts a weekend or a week. Event can be scheduled to be at one of four airports. Keep you guessing and keep you travelling. Make the game GPS again.

sounds like a good idea but only for huge events like olimpics, world cup etc

But it's not realistic, yes prices go up when there is big expos in town. That is for attendees and tourists though. I'm sure the mob cares less that the national furries convention or comicon is being held. Where would the mob make money in this?

If a bunch of money spending tourist came to town, you dont think the Capo or mob would care? They would be concerned about some of that free money missing their pockets?

Nope common street thugs would care. Were talking the mob here. Bank heists, blackmail, money laundering. Mob wouldn't just mug tourists that'd bring a lot of heat for little gain.

Hookers maybe make more money during conferences. Sounds cool for this game But in real life mobs and gangs make less money bc the police crack down while their is a major event that the world is watching. Here in china during the Olympics they shut down alot of bars for the month and had police everywhere checking papers the real mobsters had to leave the country for the summer you couldn't even find a fake DVD stand ... But its still a cool idea to get some kind of extra "protection money" from real events here in the game
