Melee Weapons

Baseball bat, this iconic tool I believe should be a new weapon. When I think mob I think someone getting their knees smashed with on of these. Also it would make a great new weapon.
For a side not, maybe a bat with nails in it? This could be a look item while the regular bat is just in the market.
If this idea has been suggested before, good job, if not what are the opinions of others?

Possibly unnecessary. But a melee item with higher defence could be helpful, a loot one.

I was giving advice to a new player today & it seems like maybe there should be an intermediate melee weapon that could be bought in the market. I'm thinking of something that has no upkeep, but does have defense (since the shank doesn't). Maybe like 2 attack & 1 defense. Idk how nick chooses to balance everything though, so there may be a reason for not having this.

It seems to me there needs to be a middle melee weapon as well. Said that a while back. As for stat numbers it's up to nick. I mainly just think of nothing else it's good training before they get big boy guns
