Build radius

Any thoughts on if you tap on a spot just outside of your build radius, that instead of getting the error that it is too far away from your turf to build it would instead place the turf at the very edge of said build radius? It would aid with hopping.

Terrible idea.

Enlighten me, I cant think of a bad aspect if this was implemented.

What if I don't want to use the max radius? What if I only want to drop a turdlf half way. Does it force me to use the max radius? How does it differentiate when to automatically assume where I want to place a turf?Enlighten me, I cant think of a bad aspect if this was implemented.

Positioning your turf is part of hopping. Sometimes you have to try again because you went out of range, sometimes you are slightly closer in than the edge. Automation would take away the human error part. I don't think that's right. Next people will just want to imput city names & have the game do all the hopping for them, utilizing perfect turf placement to minimize cost.

You tap halfway, I'm saying instead of getting the error message that the spot you picked is too far away it should instead place the turf at max range. It should only place at max range if you tap just slightly out of range.

I get where you are coming from mystery, but as with all suggestions we could argue slippery slope. My suggestion would just get rid of having to cycle a few windows if you accidentally hit out of range. I would still want hopping to take effort, but having to cycle these windows = effort with no results.

I hop 100s of miles yet have encountered this problem 2-3 times at most. Ive hopped maybe 75 miles so far. It'd be hard to guess how often this has happened to me. If I had to I'd say maybe 100 times. It may just be that im trying to maximize the hop as much as I can. I zoom in pretty close to my build radius boundary and try to tap really close to it.I hop 100s of miles yet have encountered this problem 2-3 times at most. How much you hopped with 23 turf?

That is the suggestion, so you can intentionally place at max range. It wouldn't make hopping any less hard as it all would take the same amount of taps. You would just be able to place turf where you want.FFEdge wrote:

I've hopped roughly 900 miles, maybe more. This is not an issue worth spending development time on.Darth Vadan™ wrote:

I'd figure that's more of a decision for Nick to make. But, I figure you and Mystery may be correct as not much of any has spoke in support of the idea.FFEdge wrote:

There's 3 types of suggestions made in the forum. 1, want. 2, need. 3, convenience. 3 is rarely implemented, this is 3. Not knocking your effort, just thoroughly believe it's unnecessary.
