A like/dislike button on forum posts. Yes I realize this would spark that annoying self-marketing stuff that we see in joke apps. But, hopefully the good would outweigh the bad. The good being that we could all "teach" each other what not to and what to post in the forums. My main concern being a way to bring down attention whores. I would rather be annoyed by noobs posting codes in GD or asking how to make turf etc than by people who have been around a while re-thread things that tend to have emotional implications for some people in an attempt to draw attention to themselves.

This has already been suggested before. This wouldn't discourage anyone from making threads. Those that want attention will make them anyone; getting any feedback would just encourage them more. I'd rather have the ability to edit my posts.

We could do a 4chan sage system. People enter the word "sage" enough, and the thread just doesn't bump to the top of the page. People say sage 10 times and it starts going down a peg for every sage after that, until it doesn't bump to page 1 anymore.
