Alliance transparency

Having a greater awareness to local alliances would aid recruitment and allow attackers better prep in capping desired areas. It would also aid in building local allies. In addition to this idea, group messages / notices (ie alliance messages / local public notices) could be used to represent local rules and player ettiquite expected in that region.

No because alliances are an option created by players. It's not a game feature and should never be. Would put solo players on the fence.

why should it never be? how would it put solo players on the fence?
most of the players in this game are already solo. also, most of the players in this game don't have the size mob of you and myself. it's daunting for new players who have to spend hours mobbing up before they can be competitive with other bigger active players. additionally, many other MMORPG use guilds and other alliance type setups to encourage people to work together, especially smaller users.
maybe i was too specific in the suggestion, but creating a more alliance friendly environment is what i'm trying to get across...especially at a time when new users is at a low and after the 10% rule has been changed. it would only help the gameplay and new users from getting slaughtered too quickly.

I don't understand what your exact suggestion is.
There's already been plenty of discussion in this forum about why alliances should never become a formal part of TW, so I'm not going to repeat them again, especially when I don't know if that's even your suggestion.
