A different use for turf bridges, arenas!

I like this idea... Nick could create special places on the maps that could be accessible only by buying these brides.... You could use don points to buy a certain mileage of said bridge.... After traveling to one of these places you get a "free" loot box.... And it would be a place for only people whom have "earned/paid" to reach this special "VIP" area.... It could be a place for wars to go down one day out of the month, the rest of the month will be used to travel there.... Also it will be interesting to see the struggle of alliances will have trying to control these places... That struggle will have to happen on that one day.... A trust system would be needed in order for this to happen lol so good luck with that.

The great thing about these "spots" is if word gets out that there are "free" loot boxes in these spots. (1per spot) and that they are basically an arena for war, then nick makes money... Maybe the spot is a capo!! Hold the capo for a week get another free box...(or whatever incentive nick decides) this would encourage a fight to stay in the perimeter of the spot! Therefore people use their time punching!! Aaaand money buy don points... Aaand ensure they diligently mission loot to get their espresso an such.

To address the time of longevity of these bridges to remain in existence.... They should expire! How long after is a good question but they defiantly should expire. This would ensure that people would want to fight to stay in the area. Since don points are used to buy them they wouldnt be considered loot and therefore would not break the trend of loot never expireing.

All the tricks that would surface for purposes of stay around the area so as to hop back into the "arena" area will be awesome. Alliances will use these bridges to reach out and cap stragglers... Bridges are are bought for this... also the knowledge of this would encourage players to drop large amounts of " place holder turf" these also would need to be bought with don points! All of these tricks and the remedies to them would need a good bit of don pointage.

I realize that all of this is geared towards making nick large amounts of money, which is deserved, but all of this is optional. No one is being forced to pursue any of this... But if the incentive is great enough!!
The bridge idea was suggested to cross dead spots. Your idea is basically already encompassed by the random airports suggestion. What I am suggesting is the reverse of airports! With an airport you work your way out of it to get to somewhere else. With this "arena" idea you have to come from all over to get there and you would have to pay RL monies to get there. You would have invested a lot into it and would protect your investment!! The airports are free and willy nilly. -
If you get capped out then you just wait two weeks and go back. This is so much more than an airport. And with "free" incentives it is worth more than a bragging right! I say "free" because the person has already paid way more to get there than to actually purchase the incentivized item.... So the incentive is to stay capo long enough to get free stuff! Capo of such a place for a week would be a great feat! It would have to catch on to be worth the trouble for nick to make this happen, price would be an issue, it would have to be low enough in the beginning to encourage purchase of the bridges.... Maybe low entry level pricing scheme. If you advertised that the low prices will only last for so long people would buy just to have the lower price.... The price will have to be balanced with the distance it would cover. Distance could be measured by the amount of turf that would fit on it...for instance 1 bridge could be so long that 5 turf could easily be built on it.....
-
Next issue would be the location of these "arenas" I think that it would be cool to have one way out in the middle of the ocean, obviously... But I think that it would make since to have them located around an airport so that they are internationally accessible, but far enough away that it call for bridge hopping. This is just one idea, please feel free to leave more ideas on locations for arenas.

That's a lot to read. Once I've finishes I'll comment! Lol

Skimming through it, sounds like a suggestion made before about fight arenas. I'll say what I said there, I don't like it. Sorry I can't be more constructive, maybe someone else will.

Yes, I've read those threads, but they weren't incentivized like this. Also this is secluded. It would be like a sub game. Yes I realize that isn't what it's all about.... But keeping the game thriving is! And if there is anyway to get nick some extra money this would do it! Also I stress the fact that it is bragging rights aaaaand the "free" gifts for holding capo of these arenas. It wouldn't have to be exactly like I am saying, but this is a great idea!

This is a war game! Players don't need to travel to a certain spot to have a war. If you wanna war just start one anywhere you please.

This is common knowledge. I am merely suggesting a sort of Mecca that players will want to visit because of the incentives... Which could change weekly... Only this would be a place that they would fight to stay dominate in so as to continue getting free stuff from nick. As I said in my post earlier the stuff isn't really free because they would have used a good deal of don points to get to the arena and stay there. This is a war game! Players don't need to travel to a certain spot to have a war. If you wanna war just start one anywhere you please.

If I'm gonna be spending lots of dp it's to war on my doorstep. Not 50 miles down the road for a capo and shanks. And speaking of dp, I don't think this game needs another revenue point, refills are more than enough! Wars are what keeps this game funded and to distract players from that would be silly. Besides, what you're suggesting requires far to much development and pulls you aside from essentially what is the core element of this game.

In response to Vadan, respectfully.
The core element of the game is what? The core element of the game is to go to war... Right. All I am suggesting is a remote location to do just that. It would be the same as your front door, if you made it your front door. If people were willing to get there, control and maintain control at these arenas then it is no different than a regular city. And no one would forced anyone to go to these places. It is just a spot in a dead zone that would require a item to get to it. War is war, whether it is in your front yard or in a remote location! -
War is not war lol. You have a lot to learn. 99% of wars are fought by alliances, they hold not only capos, but towns and cities, collectively. These also work as safe zones providing income and bragging rights. Why on earth would they want to battle in a "dead zone" when they have the entire map available to conquer? When you start to spend real money on wars like a lot of us do you'll understand.
