Auto clear bad code
Forums › Suggestions & Feedback › Auto clear bad code-
Don't know about other people but when in punching codes it knocks me out of rhythm when an invalid code is entered and I've got to stop and delete it an start punching again.
So I suggest an auto clear like it does when a valid code is entered?

No way. What if you made a typo instead?
-
Good suggestion. Could just clear and give notification like it does when a code exists.

Nope. Because then I have to retype whole codes over and over again checking each bad code in totality👆👆👆

Then atleast do it for expired temps. It's rare I get them cos I try get em punched daily but sometimes I can't n I come across expired codes. Same thing happens, I have to delete before punching another. Just auto clear it and tell me it's expired so I can move on to the next. It does break concentration at times. Simple fix.Don Gav wrote:

Especially when I'm punching temps it's easier if it stays.👆👆👆

Most codes are only about 8 characters. Takes about 2-3 seconds to delete. It's not that bad.

I Agee many times in pit a wrong letter and as for beaking rythem its not that, I rather take a break in rhythm to make sure a code is correct👆👆👆

I like the toggle idea
-
It used to be that way before Nick made it so it doesn't clear. That was back around the time most ppl still didn't have a custom code and typos were always happening
-
Looking back on this idea it is very useful as a toggle option..... Nick please add this :D

This would actually make code punching slower since you'd have to carefully watch to make a player's name came up, otherwise you'd miss any codes you typed incorrectly. A message wouldn't work for those that don't look at the screen when they type or for those that hold their iPhone sideways. (The message is hidden if you hold your phone sideways.)

EH if youmcould toggle it on and off then +1 if you won't be able to toggle it on and off then -1

That's me. I don't look when I type, I just keep going. The only thing that alerts me to a bad code is the box remaining full. But never say die. If it was toggleable (invented word) I would like to give it a go for sure to make up my own mind. This would actually make code punching slower since you'd have to carefully watch to make a player's name came up, otherwise you'd miss any codes you typed incorrectly. Not that many if any people do, but if someone were cheating and had a script running to input codes for them, then this would help them.

That's a very good point. In that case: -100Not that many if any people do, but if someone were cheating and had a script running to input codes for them, then this would help them.

No because the only way to know if it's bad is to enter it. If you were running a script it would stop inputting codes because the field is full. It's a little harder to write a script that will clear the field after there is a bad code.Kozy wrote:

I just copy paste codes from notepad, saves me typing errors, so it would be alright for me, because that really does break rhythm.. I think a toggle idea would be a great idea!

Ability to enter multiple codes with a , separating them would be grrrrreeeaaaat.
