Mentorship

I have two ideas for this
1. New players can be assigned a random in game mentor who is located near them. The mentor will assist them (if they want) with any questions or problems that they might have. I think that this will better prepare new players to enter the game with momentum, and increase retention rate. The mentor will be rated by the player who they are assigned to help. The rating will be from 0-2. 0 is unhelpful, 1 is somewhat helpful, 3 is very helpful. The mentor will then recieve 0-2 don points in relation to the rating in which they recieve. They may only mentor two new players at one time. To prevent bullying new players into rating two, there can be a mentor feedback button in which new players can send feedback on their mentors. Complaints of bullying can result in their mentorship status being revoked temporarily or permanently. -
2. A mentorship tab can be created. It would be similar to the top mob list. It would display players in the area of the new player. Only active players who volunteer to be displayed will be displayed. From there, new players can select a player and ask them a question, similar to a pm.
Of course, mentors will have to meet certain requirements, such as, be above level 50 or something. I feel that to make the requirements based on mob size would limit the amount of helpful mentors out there. Some people know the game well and have small mobs.
These are some ideas that I had that I think can make the game a better place. The numbers, I just threw out for reference.

Not a bad idea...

Interesting take. I too thought about something similar but never got round to putting it down an posting. There's potential in the idea. I like that it's voluntary as not all players like to help others. My take would have been based on a commission from income for a fixed duration, however, I think this works far better in terms of reward without putting a strain on in-game finances.

I like both ideas. It would get much more players to stick with the game therefore making it a more diverse game. And did you get this idea from Parallel Kingdom? 😉

A lot of players already do this. Level is irrelevant. I've seen level 80 players that don't know how to do vendettas. I've seen people answer questions in the help forum incorrectly. I'm not sure what you'd base it on. You'd almost need a mentorship test to show game knowledge.

I played another gps game that had this idea. I like the idea but the mentor you get might suck at teaching. and you got to make sure hes active to.

I like it. The reward would be knowing the individual will have your back in the future. This would also stress the need to mob up, as no one wants a low mob player to have their back.
