i was thinking instead of having a guard give +5 to your defense, what if it gave a bonus to your defense of 0.5%
10 x guards @ 0.5% = 5%
2 x window bars @ 0.7% = 1.4%
4 x security cam @ 0.9% = 3.6%
2 x mg nest @ 1.2% = 2.4%for a total of 12.4% bonus to your defense for that turf,
so if i have 100000 defense i would get 112400.i am just throwing this out there, because like the att/def skill points this feature is just sitting there doing absolutely nothing, whats the point?

I agree. There needs to be a use for them. I haven't bought any of those upgrades since I was a 2k mob.
I suspect that they were once a valid tool when the game was young and most mobs were less than 1k (maybe one of the old timers could verify). Now an extra 12 defence points is a drop in the ocean.

U beat me to it random. I like this suggestion, it's the first that gives a reasonable solution to what is a useless feature. Would the upkeep stay the same?

1 turf provides 120 def points @ 57k upkeep. It's not feasible.

But we are not talking about 120 defense points, we are talkin about 12% bonus to defense when the turf with upgrades gets attacked, 57k seems ok, besides it's not something you would equip permanently on every turf

When you go in the market, you can see the total defense for your mob with equipments.
Mine is currently at 144k, 12.4% of that is 17.8k.Now let's say I equip 1 of my turf with all the def upgrades to get up to 12.4%(see 1st post). When defending this turf would have 144k + 17.8k. But only when this turf gets attacked, otherwise I would still have 144k def

Vadan why would there need to be a limit. That isn't a stackable thing. It only protects one turf and the current upkeep is such that it would throw yoi way into negative. If a 10% exploiter did this it would throw them way into negative and eat up cash very quickly. That's said I say no just remove the upgrades as defense increases stalemate.

Wouldn't a stalemate bring more V and by the same occasion more action? It could a deterrent to 10% exploit

If you added inf to the defensive upgrades it might deter people going malarial plus using defensive upgrades.
