Invite mobsters usinng their names
Forums › Suggestions & Feedback › Invite mobsters usinng their names-
Seems like it would be nice to be able to invite someone using their mobster name OR invite code. Probably wouldn't be used that often, but seems useful regardless.

What?

Just message them your code or ask them for thiers

Meaning that if my name was "Jack" and my invite code is "jack027", I could be invited by either one of those words, not just the invite code. What?
Consider one of the big guys "add swagger". He puts his code in his name to get more mob invites. With my idea, people wouldn't need to do that, people could just type names of mobsters to invite (much faster than messaging them each or trying to otherwise figure them out.)

Or everyone could be given a 12 char. space below their name on their profile.

That's dumb cuz if you use the search you'll see many ppl have really similar names. Now if you said a button that says "INVITE MOBSTER" next to thier name on thier profile... I'll say cool but then takes out all the hard work other have spent getting where they are.

This was suggested a few times. I for 1 agrees last time and still stand by it. But it would need a daily invite limit, like te search feature. Maybe 25 invites daily, no1 gets off punching codes that easily!Kozy wrote:

It wouldn't be the same as punching codes; it would be much easier. Most people don't leave their codes in their comments, so when you run across their profile, you have to leave your code & hope they punch it. If this was implemented, I agree that it should have a small daily limit.Primo Loco wrote:

I don't understand why there should be a limit. It would take longer to go to 10 peoples profiles and add them then going to mobcode and punching in 10 codes. It would actually be slower to mob up. Plus instead of going to one website and punching in 20,000 codes already found for you, you would have to go and find 20,000 different profiles. And you already gets temps. Which is way easier then going and actually finding the new players.
If someone has a valid point as to why you should limit profile button invite then say it. But saying it's easier, nope, it would not be easier. And if that is the only argument against this then pfffft.

I already explained why there should be a limit.

It wouldn't be easier though. Manually finding every players profile instead of going to a code site would take longer and not really be that easy. Would you punch temps or attempt to find every new player individually? Codes are much easier.I already explained why there should be a limit.

I run across new players' profiles all the time, without searching. Often they don't have their code posted, so I leave my list & hope they punch my code. In that regard, it would be easier than punching. Sometimes I do search for new players profiles to post my code list on their wall also. On a slow day, without searching, I'd estimate I see 10 new profiles. If they had a button on their profile, then I'd be going through my mob list & doing player searches like crazy.Mystery wrote:

Well as for doing player searches you only get 10 a day so that would limit you from searching like crazy.
So on average you see 10 new profiles a day. How many temp codes do you average a day? How long does it take you to punch the daily temp codes? How long does it take you to find 10 brand new players every day?

The temp codes I punch per day varies as to how many came out. I don't time myself. I said I run across 10 new profiles a day without searching. My point being is that having a button on someones profile is the same as temp codes.

not exactly. Temp codes offer a easy start for new players and a fresh code to older ones. Where as the button just allows you to see who you have and who you don't. You might be lookin at everyones profile to find only about 10 a day that you don't have before gettin frustrated and quitting virsus having a fresh code to punch. But if they ever do implement a button as such, it should have a limit just as mentioned before. That way you'll still have codes as your main source for mobbin up but just have a small alternative on the side and it wouldn't allow you to grow your mob to the point where everyone is fighting for #1 spot on the top mobster board for biggest mob.My point being is that having a button on someones profile is the same as temp codes.
