Turf limits my 2 cents

I now get the turf limit problem, having expanded to a large size I'm now stuck where I am and can't do anything unless I start wiping people out which I think is a bit mean. There needs to be something done. Personally I do thing there needs to be turf limits or everything would get a little silly. But could caping turfs not push your limit up slightly? Say every 2 turfs captured pushes your limit up by 1? This would keep the game moving without it being too easy to take over everything. Or perhaps for turfs to cost massive amounts when over limit. Like twice as much up to 200% curent limit 3x up to 300% etc.
It just gets a bit stale at the higher end of the game.
If this doesn't get implemented something needs to be done just to keep it interesting for high lvl players.Any thoughts?

Over lvl 60's get their limit increased by 2 every lvl?

They want u spending money on this game, so they will give u just enough to where u want more and then spend money. This is why they don't allow the turf limit to increase when capturing. I'm 235/99. That's how far back I am. They will make alot of money off me if I decide to increase my limit on that shit. One app comes out with a money making scheme of a game and everyone jumps on the bandwagon. App developers trying to get rich. A competitve player will spend WAY more money on games like this than PS3, Xbox or even computer games. Kinda sad really....

I've spent money on this game but like you said. If I wanted to increase my turf limit now it would cost me alot. Now i'm not going to spend that much and I doubt many would. Make your product too expensive and it looses it's appeal. You loose customers and it's bad business so this matter should still be adressed

The higher the level you attain the harder it becomes and the longer it takes to level up.
That dedication should be rewarded with multiple turf increases on leveling.
One turf with every other level in the 60s, every level for the 70s, two at each level for the 80s, three for the 90s and a five turf bonus at 100.

I have proposed a similar change to the game to Nick. I am not quite up to high levels, just over 50, but I too see how the game gets stale at higher levels. My proposal is that the turf limit be removed or somehow increased (Nick can decide that). However, increasing one's turfs beyond a certain size begins to invoke an additional "maintenance" cost. Think of this cost as being associated with managing a sprawling empire (both Nick and I separately thought of the game Civilization). At some point, depending upon how aggressive the "maintenance" cost is, adding more turfs would simply not be possible because the costs would overcome one's income. That's my proposal, in a nutshell.

The Filling, for one, I'm sure none of us feel "so lucky" to play this game. As u put it. Sure, we enjoy games, but I'm "so lucky" to have a job or "so lucky" to be alive. Anyways, had to get that outta the way. Like I said, the game is nice and fun, but the ammount of money u have to spend to get more turfs than allowed thru lvling is a bit excessive. When u make it to the higher lvl range, u will more than likely spend money. That's if u want to actually have "Turf Wars". This is fine. Profit is good for anything, as long as the people making the profit invest in what they have created, which the developers of this game does a good job at. But I know ppl out there that have spent over $100 on this gamein the past few months it's been out. That's rediculous to have to spend money like that on such a simple concept of a game compared to console or pc games.

Anyways, this game is all about turf and mob. Make it a little easier to build your mob and give the higher lvl guys more credit for the dedication put in your game.

You want more turf but you don't want to pay for it but rather expect it to be given to you for free. Nick and his crew developed a product, a product designed to entertain and make profit. If you don't pay for the product, the product won't improve and continue to offer you so many hours of entertainment. You want more, then pay more. This isn't a fucking charity.

Use your brain. what I'm proposing does not mean turf for free it does not mean nick and the dev team will loose money it means they will gain money.
It's a good game but it's not worth spending hundreds on. Give customers something to entice and they will spend more Rather than loosing customers because the cost to get to that next turf is well over £50 that's not fucking charity that's fucking good business.

I kind of find it frustrating now with the way the system works, though I do understand the reason for it.
Through fairly strategic placement of turfs it has allowed me to go on some capture binges that have given me 40 more owned than purchased. This becomes pretty limiting, you end up tearing down loads of the ones you have captured to free up ones for other places. You are then faced with having to buy them back before you can do anything else. There is no benefit to selling them as you have more money than you can spend already, what's another $1.7m here or there.
Five a day to buy costs 64 points, for 8 days that becomes over 500 points which is a decent price to have to pay just to catch up with the game.

I think the limitations on the amount of turfs that one can own is driving players away. A good game should entice new players (who by the way would spend more money), not drive them away due to losing interest.
By the way, griogair, you can make your point without profanity. Using it only shows your own ignorance and irritates others.

Point taken. I think what another way to gain turf is to allow a player who has a lot of influence, the ability to capture turf regardless of the other players influence amount. Take that protection away from players who don't bother to grow larger.

Now you're getting the idea. One issue with capturing turfs is you shoot yourself in your foot in that you lose income if you eventually take too much. Your proposal would certainly allow those loyal players to mop up those who had lost interest, but then what?
I have found the game is much more interesting by fostering growth in the cities where you are a capo. The turf limitation stilll stymies that approach.
The bottom line is that I don't expect the game to grow from its infancy without some repeal or loosening of the turf limit. I sure hope Nick is listening. If he isn't, he's going to lose a LOT of loyal customers.

I sure hope so. After 50 this game becomes quite stale with the severe turf limitation. It's simply not fun any longer. I find myself banking my money in hopes that the issue is addessed at some point. Pitty; the game could be so cool without this severe restriction.

Yes. Once you reach a certain level almost all players that I have spoken to lose interest because they have paid enough for the game and got all the turf upgrades that they are willing to purchase. It is tme for nick to resolve this MAJOR limitation in the game on risk losing ALL players after level 50 or so.
