Ever since I started the game whenever I acquire the 3 skill points, only 2 of them ever register. Is this correct or is there something wrong with my equipment/appliances?

You should be getting 3.

It looks like you've been getting the right #. Otherwise your stamina would be lower

You may be getting confused as stamina increase uses 2 points not 1, unlike the others.

That would make sense then. I wondered what the +2 meant.
