It would be so helpful to have the ability to edit my forum posts!! I've wanted this feature since I first found the forums. I'm sure it's been suggested before (maybe even by me) but I couldn't find the thread. Please consider this!!

Nope. You must suffer with all spelling mistakes forever. Muahahahahaha
-
Would most definitely be useful, especially since I had to delete and repost 4 times now on another thread.
-
I don't like it, actually. People like to play the "he said, she said" game a lot here, and with the ability to edit your posts, people can cover their tracks.... Trust no one, Mystery. They're all out to get us. #paranoid

Maybe for every post you delete you can post one. That would stop spammers yet let you fix things when you make mistakes.

People already edit the quote boxes. Plus, most forums tell you the date & time something was edited. If it was quoted by someone else, the original author can't edit the quote. But for things like the WWF list, I wouldn't have to repost the entire thread everytime I did it. (I know, I haven't bumped it lately).I don't like it, actually. This would be really helpful as I'm staring at having to repost the entire loot thread with the latest additions. (People don't read all the way to the end of the thread; they just insist the info wasn't there). If I could just edit though - that would be wonderful! :)
-
Since no one else seems to want this feature, you could just let me edit my own posts. That would be easy, right? 😄
-
I would love it.

I have no idea why anyone would oppose this. With the iPhones auto correct this is a must see feature in my eyes.
-
I'm so glad I'm not the only one that feels this way. :)
-
I like the idea. Each edited post would have a timestamp associated with it and the last time itmwasmedited/changes - unless someone quotes your post, in which case it is not editable any more.
-
People can just make another post. This is going to make it difficult to follow a conversation as everyone can change what they wrote and then responses will not make sense.

Maybe it could be limited to the initial post in a thread, although that wouldn't help with my loot thread.

This was just suggested again.
-
You could keep an edit log to fix the 'he said she said' issue

I'm surprised you actually remember things you posted 2 years ago. This was just suggested again.
I wish I had that kind of memory. -
Why not?

I like. Facebook let's you see the message before someone edited it, a feature like that would permit post corrections but maintain accountability for whatever you posted first.
-
I gave up hoping this would be implemented, although I'd be thrilled if it was.
Wow, I'd forgotten how long ago loot was introduced.

It's not stubborness, it's determination (anyone get the reference?)
