gps based market

It'd be cool if you could actually buy in game items in real life stores. Like you could buy a cannoli at an Italian deli or an ar at a gunshop. It'd have to have limits and the coding would be massive but I see lots of pluses here.

It would make mundane life more interesting and have a real ingame impact
-
Plus Nick could have deals with businesses furtther increasing his own income

Very good idea but see as almost impossible to implement?? Would we purchase with don? Or cash? And would that mean u had to be in shop to receive cannaloni? Do like concept though, very good

hmmm... a little creepy. sounds like foursquare. Also, it would require massively additional "map-awareness" that is likely too time-encumbering to implement. I'd rather see an in-game trading market, where you were limited to transactions with other players that are local to you (same as fight list). I've got a ton of loot i have no interest in & I imagine someone like Belial might value all those extra police maps....
-
I'm not sure the local police would want all of us hooligans showing up to my "police maps". I also see the little old italian lady that owns the best bakery in town, telling me to "get the f*ck outta hea" when I ask for a dozen virtual cannolis. However I like your out of the box thinking
-
I was thinking police maps would be from a bookstore. Also you wouldn't order the items. Gps systems like checkpoint know when you're in a store.
-
If nick hired people to help him then it is possible
-
Well the idea is good but the marketing I believe is wrong. They could sell gift card like things at Wal-mart or other stores that give you certain ingame items.

This is a cool idea with loads of potential. Just think along the lines of the zynga 7-11 deal but no purchase necessary. I like it.

Nah. Gift cards are lame. This is based more like shop kick or check point. It encourages you to go to the stores so good for them amd we get stuff so good for us. And it makes full use of the gps.Well the idea is good but the marketing I believe is wrong. They could sell gift card like things at Wal-mart or other stores that give you certain ingame items.

I still like my idea.

We can put espresso in starbucks!!!! Seriously though I understand this one. I really do. Matter of fact I still don't have an iPhone myself. Some items would be in reach and some wouldnt. A little less availability for loot than phone users isn't going to destroy your gameplay. And as I mentioned some items could be placed in areas where you're surety find wifiWhat about us itouch users? Are we just SOL or what?
