Ya know...this ice cream truck ideas has potential. Kozy posted a different form of it. I'll let him repost his own suggestions. And I'd like to see some othger serious suggestions too.

Maybe it could randomly show up at one of your turfs. The turf name text would turn to red in your list.

You have to catch it before it's gone, but if you do, you have an opportunity to buy a limited number of loot items at their market price.

Weapons could be in packs of say...100.
bombs, shoes, etc...in a 5 pack.
Maps and other turf upgrades in a 3 pack.

Purchases should be limited to one "pack" though. No mass purchase or mass stocking.

I quite like this. It has a very mob feel to it. The innocent ice-cream van as a front for loot sales.

Yeah, the big problem with Random is Balance.
If having x number of loot items stopped you getting a visit from "the ice-cream man" then the addition of this feature would make you swear. Although you wouldn't stack worthless loot...
Noobs stripping their mob weapons to buy loot they don't know how to use, liking it more and more...
Basically a random free chest a day for established players. Don't see the pull for devs...

Why would you stop you from getting loot? Or is that suggestion? Noone would really be able to buy in any kind of quantity the way I suggested. In the end, it could likely come down to the same chances as running a mission. This just gives you a shot at selecting which loot you get.

They wouldn't need to dump weapons. But then that's a strategy choice to make. Sell a few weapons to buy a bagman or liquor license to increase income. We've all done that just for regular turf upgrades at some point.

I don't really see anyone getting one on a daily basis the way i suggested it.
