Where one area ends and another begins

How can you tell where one turf area ends and another area begins? For ex. Where southhampton co. Ends and where ivor begins. Are we taking cities, counties or areas?

There aren't any visual borders, but what I do is claim turf further and further from Point A to Point B until the little address comes up when you click an area to claim. Like after crossing a bridge it will say "Road 1, Point B, NY xxx mi NE of you"

It's not that no one cares. The geocoder does not allow it. Nothing to do with the developers.
