Take away temp codes

Lol, that would just expand the gap with new players rather than reducing it.

temp codes just mean we get to the newbies faster and easier for them to add us and mob up.. increasing their chases of staying in the game. you have to punch codes regardless. so it's really about what you start out with. start out with a bunch of mob request and punching codes, or no mob request punching codes.

Yup having real trouble trying to convince ppls in my area to play when they realize they need to puch codes...The game should be about having fun. If I tell someone aboutvthe game but that they will have to punch 20.000+ codes then how long do you think that person is goingbto laugh?

not everyone is going to like the game, the same why not everyone likes call of duty, or basketball or chess. no one is asking to change the rules of chess because they don't like it or want to make it easier. they just don't play.
I don't think the game should be dumb down just to appeal to some players that would be half ass commited anyways. i'd rather them start the game and quit and let their turf provide protection money for the rest of us. -
I still want to know what new players will think when they realize that to compete in a year they will have to enter 50.000 codes

Why is it an assumption that you must get near top level to compete?I still want to know what new players will think when they realize that to compete in a year they will have to enter 50.000 codes

Assumption ? You don t have to enter codes to compete? Here in Chicago I can be raped by St least 10 people. Last year only one person had more than 5k now I see people with 15k+ so seems to me time = more codes to enter to compete

Btw I am not trying to argue I am just worried with people now at 20k that this mechanic is going to snowball to gigantic numbers

i think it's important to remember that the game is not just about mob size but also building allies and choosing which battles to fight. there are groups that will take you in regardless of your mob size and once under the umbrella of their protection they will fight tooth and nail to protect you from bullys or other groups. mob size is just one side to this game but not the only side.

Temp codes are the saving grace for new players. They need that quick instant mob to keep motivation. They shouldn't be punished because of over-zealous OCD types. (no offense).

I've actually gotten to where I prefer temp codes over regular codes. I tend to keep up with temps, but get lazy about doing regular codes.

if i wasn't worried about missing codes i probably wouldn't do normal codes anymore either. but after i finished the db i took a "break" from normal codes only to come back and find out i was missing codes. so i do both.
