At max level you would be attacking levels 65 and over. Seems reasonable to me. If that isn't reasonable then how about limiting attacks on just the turf, not the player.

Maybe the answer to this is to change the way level is determined. My suggestion would be to make it linked to mob rather than xp. So for (eg) every 200 mob members you gain a level. This now makes sense for discussions on attacks between different levels of players. If a protection mechanism is then applied, it makes sense in all circumstances.
Newbies always go on about the level of the player attacking them, but it is the size of the mob that matters.

I agree, I just suggested a change to the level system based on mob. IF protection is then applied, it can be applied taking mob into account.
We (more seasoned players) naturally stop hitting smaller players and look for a challenge with similar sized (or larger in my case) targets. I think making level dependent on mob size makes for a more reasonable measure of targets, eg a L100 attacking a L10 is obviously out of order.
I have not made any suggestions (so far) on what that protection mechanism should be.
