So that we don't have to search the whole list to see if something was added to threads we like and want to "follow" or threads we start.

As i said save them in a folder as bookmarks,what difference does it make if its in app or not?

Yes that is a great idea, I think it should be under news, if new stuff gets posted then it allerts you.
