New way to cap
Forums › Suggestions & Feedback › New way to cap-
I want to be able to cap from my real physical location. For example: if I drive to another city where others' turfs are and be physically near enough instead of having a turf nearby to do the capping. I cannot build new turfs, only cap, since I exceed my turf limit. Tearing down current turfs to get closer to my limit seems counter-productive.

It would bypass all game failsafes such as the 24 hour rule and turflimit. Maybe if you want to stand in one spot for 24 hours. Let's make it so if the gps moves or you become disconnected for any reason you have to start over

Wouldn't give the player enough time to prepare. 24 hours is fairBelial wrote:

But that doesn't make it a good idea. What's to stop someone from just driving all over the city and gaping everything they can?

it could be that you could plant a "pin" at your current location with. steep upkeep cost or some othet penalty. people could destroy it and it wouldnt have any inf/income. after 24 hrs you could cap from the pin. you could plant the pin from your location only.

Capping from location is just another way of giving turf to over limit players.

I think there's a limit for a reason...

So, a person in my predicament is limited to my immediate area unless new turfs spring up nearby. The scenario where the big fish eats all competitors then dies of starvation. The only other option I can see is to downsize. Anyone else see the counter-productiveness? To cap from a gps physical location would require a certain amount of work. I don't really see someone spending all day driving around capping. If so, perhaps a limit on the number of this cap should be limited to time and/or distance from another like cap (maybe 20 or 30 miles & 1 or 2 hours from previous driving around cap).

Another thought would be to increase the capture radius to maybe 30-50 miles.

In which case I could slaughter a whole town from a single turf or location? That won't fly...how long, then for an entire state?YOU wrote:

Heh. 30-50 miles...that's my entire island.

I'll just stop playing. Good- bye

Wow. You're going to stop plating over turf limit?

Cool. I'm gonna come to P-Town and cap all your turfs then. Sell all your weapons so I don't waste so much energy. Lol!
