Add random CPU Players:
1. Somewhat Random strengths
2. Automatically leave or move on after a given amount of time

Benefits:
1. Big players may getbchallenged occasionally
2. Smaller players can cap someone without fear of harsh backlash
3. Smaller players can increase turf other than leveling up
4. Players in relatively remote areas can have some excitement with battles even if there aren't many other mobsters in the area.

Probably lots of other benefits as well.

i agree with gl here. the fun of the game is to build yourself up to beat other players. cpu would take the fun out. Im sure CC or Belial can pitch in here about some abuses to this as well.

Like Mikey said...it's more fun beating on flesh and blood. Trying to write a cpu engine for this game would just be insane.

If you make it too tough, no one will like it. if it's too easy, it becomes a mule. With player range being what it is, I just don't see a middle ground for it.

The issue with this is #4. The game by giving remote players no one to fight and a lower income make players actually come to populated areas. By adding npcs you'd be taking away from that I think. That's what make this game special above all else is the depth of player interaction.

No. What if the CPUS went crazy and capped everyonee turf. And it makes for easy farming and capping. Do you realize how fast a powerful player could grow if they were next to a cpu

Is anyone forgetting? TERMINATOR??? The NPCs could overrun our way of life, wipe out California, Florida, Europe, Middle East, you name it!
