  Why not go for making new turfs increasingly expensive instead? Kinda sucks when you get isolated with big gaps between players and you're already over your limit with no way to bridge the gap. Surely more turfs on the board is a good thing?

  Two things. One turf limit os to keep a cap happy player from spreading and dominating everything. The next os turf limit is a major source for revenue in this game amd aaa such many players have huge limits. What would you do with the limit they payed for?
