The credit actually goes to V for this. He posted it in another topic on the technical forum.

I know a few people arn't happy with having henchmen in their count.

So why no simply have them as assignable? If you don't want to use them you don't... I think it's a fair compromise.

I think they're sellable for ingame money in the loot section of the market. I believe it was mentioned on one of the Hench threads in GD.
