Players with an interest for a certain sport could bet on actual games/fights happening in NFL, NBA, UFC etc. You could bet however much you want and for the players that bet on the winning team/athlete, the money will be divided between them.

Well this is a GPS game, so maybe only local games to your turfs? Scores could be reported by local players too. I like the idea, though!
