I imagine this has been brought up several times before, but is there any movement towards morphing the current format of TurfWars with a more modern style of augmented reality play??? iOS 11.3 and soon to come out 11.4 are designed specifically to open up doorways for the AR world. My family is involved with Ingress at the moment. It is been overhauled in July. All the old players that have invested their time in the game will not lose any of their accomplishments or accolades that they have earned through sweat and tears. This also creates a format that would be more appealing to new players. In this situation everyone wins. I imagine this would come at a cost of more mandatory sponsored commercials. ( similar to the ones we deal with daily on Don's points ) Personally a trade off for a few sponsors in order to perpetuate this game seems minimal. Apple is Placing a lot of money and time at the moment on AR technology. Turf wars should get on board with an Ingress-like transition.

This is by no means a promotion for any other games. This was presented for the purpose of comparison. I moved this from general discussion. This post was inspired by mob.codes being down for a week. My mind was racing about possibility of this being a forecast of future issues with the perpetuity of this game.
