Attack and defense suggestion.

Ok I'm usually against these but I thought I'd give it a try. Simple system. Each point gives you one point per level. So a level one with 30 att gets 30 points. At level 50 he gets 1500 points and at level 100 he gets 3000 points. Simpl makes a slight but not too big impact and give an incentive to level up

I think those numbers are still too low to really have a impact. When you have 10k+ mob, 3k attack or defense really won't matter.

It just seems like with a & d, there is no happy medium. Everything either comes up short, or way too strong.

Well, then turf wars would be divided into 4: the mission whores, the attack&cap whores, vendetta defense, and balanced pros.

in any case, attack/defense being completely worthless is, well, completely worthless. there has to be a way to make them useful or just take the out of the game and refund the damn points we wasted.

It would put players who didn't add anything to attack/defence at a disadvantage. Unless the advantage was balanced by having more stamina or energy. However extra stamina or energy has no effect on winning or losing individual fights. I don't think there is a solution to this problem without changing the workings of the game as a whole. Also I don't think it's a huge problem. It should be left as is.

I think something defo needs doing about attack and defence points. I do like the level multiplier idea but it has flaws. I think it should effect overall attack and defense by an algorithmic pattern not a direct multiplier. Bit like cap limit between players. Just to keep the balance in the game. The idea needs more meat on the bone tho.

Seems to me you'd need to add some choices to the way the points are actually applied within each category. For example, perhaps you could apply defense points to "automatic weapons defense". This would reduce the effect of any automatic weapons in the enemy arsenal, but Lapuas and grenades would be unaffected. Would also add a bit of uncertainty about combat outcomes.
