I suggest like you put in a city you want to hop to and you can follow a line to take you there as sometimes you take the wrong routes when hopping

Omg. You actually had an intelligent thought Satan.
While I don't like the line idea, part of the fun of hopping is to figure out your route, it would definitely help to have dead zones shaded. This would avoid a lot of deadends.
