Why is this game cheating me on my experience points . I have 97 experience points three points away from the next level I do a mission that should give me five experience points but it only took me to 99 what in the hell is going on

If you are referring to the exp listed to the right of the mission that is the minimum exp you must have to do mission not what it gives you.

Thanks for the points . I checked the missions and it says missions I'm sorry Matt missions it says experience earned so I was assuming that when you do one of the missions that's how much experience you got but if that's the max number that you can get it then OK I understand now . That is the max number of experience that you can earn but is not guarantee that you will get the whole experience points OK that sounds a lot better
