Would be interesting if we could put a picture or more than one at a turf. Mark something that happened there.

No. Turf Wars is a little more than a glorified web browser. When you something on an EDGE area it takes a long time to load. Add tons of pictures and the server may overload. Same reason why Facebook doesn't allow for ani-GIFs.

Not a picture on the turfmap but within the turf.

I see nothing wrong with. I'd probably switch it off and never use it but I think it'd add a personal feel to turfs for certain players. Especially for those who collect their friends turfs as trophies.

Wouldn't it just add loading rate? Pics won't affect if I can take the turf off of them or not.

I like this idea. Just a thumbnail on the profile page. There is always a focal point for a turf.
Some peeps might even dress up for it...

Maybe the original owner could choose to post a picture or a little blurb.

Yup, just the original maker, picture no bigger than the turf map link so storage shouldn't be a problem. A quick snapshot off the phone when you create the turf, although some people may go to greater lengths.
Personalises the turf, makes you want to keep it more, encourages other players to engage in more cap and keep rather than cap'n'scrap (now there's a player name heya).
I use the name as a desciptor.

I do tunic it would be cool. It, however, would not be cool enough to justify the vast amounts of extra servers they would have to buy

I have suggested in the past to have a "wall" on a turf that you could tag. You could only tag it if you owned the turf, and your posts could never be deleted.

Shouldn't overload if submitting the pic is recompressing to appropriate size/rez only one pic to a turf, turf must be >24hrs to be pic worthy and you HAVE to tap a link in the turf profile to see the pic.
Facebook doesn't have ani-gifs because it would just be a wall of fellatio with the occassional waving pair of tits to break the monotony.

Only problem is people would put inappropriate pictures on there's. Maybe if there was an approval system by the creator.
