I've been thinking, that in some circumstances it would be better that a Private Message could be seen on someones comments, not the contents, just that a message has been left. Any thoughts on this?

I like it.

The name of the sender and when it was sent, but where the comment would be, it would simply say "Private".

This reminds me of a bumper sticker-"Just because you aren't paranoid, doesn't mean they aren't after you".
