So I have begun to expand my influence into other areas. But I have come to realize that I have passed that maximum turfs allowed for my level. So if I travel to other areas, I now will not be able to place new turfs down. What's the best way to quickly raise the maximum turfs allowed without paying for it in the Don.

Only two ways Increase turf limit. Buy it from the don or level up. You will get very few for leveling up though

If you don't want to buy more turf best thing is tear down turfs that make the least amount of money and plant in busier areas.
