What's an informant?

Informant is a rare loot item that works like the lookout probably should have.
You equip it on a turf. When someone plants a new turf in that turfs cap radius, you get an alert.
"The informant at your-turf-here says that members know to associate with mobster-name-here have been seen in the area."
-
Cool idea. Would this item be permanent once equipped or would it last for a certain amount of time? Would the Informant be destroyed when said turf is capped by another player? Do you think it should be a rare or uncommon loot?

That would defeat the purpose of setting up on someone, would it not?
The whole idea of the game is to play the map, not get spoon fed information regarding the map.

That's why it's a rare loot item, you have a limited amount of them.

Sounds interesting but doubt it will be added, personally I don't like the concept. Let's say I'm setting up on an enemy they have the loot item equipped that ruins the sneaking concept of setting up

For a item that changes the way you play or the game is played and is a pretty drastic one at that, rare doesn't cut it.ƊIƧƓƲIƧƷ wrote:

Take Brens for example.
As rocky stated, I don't like the fact you'd go through so much effort to set up on someone just for the game to tell them "Oh hey, X has set up on turf X"

Well then... let's say everyone set up on you and we see if you change your mind. 😊Sounds interesting but doubt it will be added, personally I don't like the concept. Let's say I'm setting up on an enemy they have the loot item equipped that ruins the sneaking concept of setting up

Eh between Brens and cap skill I don't see how this would hurt any further....

Thing is, it still takes game understanding to know if someone has cap skill, work out the range at which you can cap/not be capped and working out if you can cap someone with more/less Brens than you ect.Eh between Brens and cap skill I don't see how this would hurt any further....
This is literally just making the game take no effort at all.

Yeah. Micro mule with max cap... now there's some effort for ya 😞

Oh I agree with you on that one, I'd just not like to see something like this implemented.ƊIƧƓƲIƧƷ wrote:
