It would be nice if there was a option to lock the screen rotating, to prevent it from changing to landscape view. I think there used to be a feature for this, but it has gone.

There used to be until Apple disallowed it, so you will ave to take the issue up with them.

Ok didn't know it was a Apple related issue. Looks like I will have to take it to the top then.

If u are running the latest software just double tap the home button and there is a orientation lock with the iPod controls that will stop it switching views! Hope this helps!

Yeah need to be able to turn this off. This pisses me right off. Landscape is pointless just means you have to scroll down twice as much.

that's now going to be a turn sound off button in the new update. And I agree that apple needs to allow this back because anyone with an old iPod touch 2nd gen or iPhone 3g is screwed. Multitasking is not included in ios 4 on older devices which means you can't turn on the orientation lock.

U have to slide right for the option to appear after u have double pressed home button
