whenever I place a turf in a specific area e.g Strood it says it's in Rochester instead which is the local city of Strood, I've placed turf round the capos turf to try and get in Strood however it does not recognise it for me

Not too sure however I think this is a common misconception. It's more likely that the game which does often map updates, has updated the map to the point where you can no longer plant turf in strood? Or wherever. Seen it happen lots where turfs in a general area get placed in the nearest city as opposed to the town it may actually be.

Yup, I have turf in towns that no longer exist on either geocoder.
