Total bummer putting 4 maps on a turf and realizing you still can't get a valid plant location. Obviously they would still be used if planted using one. Can't see a negative here.

I do like this idea. I've capped turf that had a map on it and I always thought it would be great to be able to remove it.

Hmm, this is an interesting idea.
The potential downside with Darken's addition is mules or players giving maps to other players. In general I don't think that would be a big enough issue to be opposed to it. I'm wondering how many maps players that have been over limit for a long time have stored up though, lol.
At the very least, I don't see a problem with your original idea, Grimm - since you put the map on & didn't use it, taking it off shouldn't be a big deal.

I do agree with Mystery about the mule part. If they keep it to maps that we equipped ourselves like Grimm said, it would be better.

Slightly agree about that issue. However despite maps being classified as common loot it's not something that seems to come up much. I loot maps once in awhile. However I loot other common items like garrotes and brass knucks all the damn time. Even if it were an issue it's minimal. Maps can't really be exploited in a way that weapons can be. Easy enough to code I'm sure too. Already have the ability to unequip things from turfs. Basically same as unequiping a lookout.

I support this idea in one hand but not so much in the other. I look at it like it's the luck of the draw. Saving maps is important and being to remove them pretty much takes that away IMO.

Going through my turf list and found an old turf with 4 maps on it. Would still love to be able to get them for use elsewhere.

Max maps on a turf only to find a valid location is just out of reach. -
A couple days ago I was capping someone & ended up with 3 turfs with police maps. Of course they were in areas where I already had plenty of turf. I hate tearing them down but I can't keep them all. Can I at least have $1 for "recycling the paper?" Then I'd feel like it wasn't a total waste. 😂
