Turf perks

I think that it would be an interesting idea to have in maybe in cities a "turf perk" in some areas like a +5,000 income. Or a turf defense area with + 10 defense zones. This could motivate some players to work harder and try to control this part of a town. This was just a spur of the moment thought. I'm sure there are many cons and pros but it could get better ideas flowing. Feel free to comment on what you think.

So like a zone that gives a bonus to players and their turf within the radius? I think that sounds pretty cool. A certain number could appear in random locations with a random attribute/perk and last for a random time between 50 and 100 hours, then disappear and a new one spawns somewhere else. The perks could be +ATT, +DEF, —range from which others can cap you, —cost to plant/upgrade turf, +income, +distance from which you cap others, + or — build distance, and more. The amount that it gives you (how much +ATT?) would be a percent change from the norm and varies each time a new Perk Zone (as I will take the liberty to name) is spawned. Not sure if what I'm saying is what you envisioned. As I said it sounds like a cool idea to me. 👍

Hmm, yes, indeed. I do like this suggestion because it adds differences in different areas of the map that can influence the tide of war as it passes through a zone, for a certain time. The map can be always changing in the manor that a location that is normal one day can gain a combat advantage or disadvantage the next. Now that I'm thinking about it, maybe the zone could last more than 100 hours. There could be two types of zones, long and short term. The short term last for a random number of hours between 50 and 100, and long term last between 120 hours (5 days) and 360 hours (15 days).

I'd think this would be seriously difficult to implement.

It may be sketchy but I think it could have potential and shake things up in war zones. That could add a new flavor. At Dova that's what I meant but you said it better.
-
I didn't want to say it but yes mystery exactly what I was thinking 😜

Just a suggestion lol

the way to do it is already built in, it could be done just like the radius for an airport. but i don't know if making airports even more valuable is a good idea. but maybe certain areas like vegas could bring in more money.... i don't know how it would work, but might be worth more thought. hot spots on the map besides airports i think is a good idea.

You could just implement it on capital cities?
And have it so whoever has the highest influence in the cities centre also gets the benefits?
So there is only a small radius around the centre point. It could play the same way as having a capo does, but obveously you receive the attack/defence perks.
Every capital I have visited are normally fiercely fought over. -
Yeah or even that too. It would add a fresh spin for wars in big cities.

Great idea high treason. How about they do it on a population thing. Like how many people really live in each city, above a certain number gets to be a perk city.
-
I think a area perk (turf perk) would be a good idea would help noobs but could take a while to map the whole world unless it's randomly spawned and it would spark a war for more turf in certain areas
-
It would maybe be designated for places like L.A, Chicago, Detroit places like that
-
Major population centers and the idea would be to add more action in areas.
-
I think if it's planned in major areas and randomly generated in less populated areas anyone agree?

Sorry, I tend to think about more aspects of something than just rather I might want to see it in the game, especially since it's been suggested before.Mystery wrote:

Just because it would take some work are you saying that it's a bad idea? Honestly if it was a feat in game it would shape war zones and increase a desire to control parts of cities this could also inspire newer players to join. There would only be 3 things that spawned Bonus money , bonus attack and bonus defense.ཉ༥༣༣༨ཇཧ ✧И~山~Я✧ wrote:

And in order to active the ability you would need to plant in a control point like the airport radius.
-
If this is implemented the area that turf get a bonus should be considerably larger than the are that you must have turf in in order to activate the bonus for turf in the entire bonus giving area. People have to have turf in the center of the area (say the center 5 mile radius circle) in order to gain a bonus out to say 12 miles away from the center point. This way in a war an alliance could attempt to control a small area in order to affect their gameplay in a larger area nearby.
-
You need to have a turf in the zone that is necessary to use the bonus for 24 hours before you can use the benifits of the bonus zone.
-
And the defense bonus is worth it unlike the lookouts and turf defense

I think the original idea of mine that they appear in random locations with random attributes of random amount and last for a random amount of time, while it would be pretty cool, can be thrown out due to difficulties in programming like mystery stated. They can have a uniform size with one of four or five possible perks at a set percent change.
