How about daily interest on bank deposits? Something low like 2 - 5%

The bank seems like it really has no point to me. Losing 15 % is pretty steep esp. w/ no interest. Why bother when you can just wait a bit an earn back the money you lose in a fight.

Well 15% out of 100k is 15k. Out of a million, 150k. On average fights I've seen so far, the victor pockets maybe 9-10k a fight. Imagine getting hit multiple times in one day and the amount of money you'd lose, especially if a spammer locks it's sights on you. I feel like 15% is a decent price for the protection if you choose to use it.

1% would be cool for interest charge the 15 to put it in but then earn after that

To answer the "should I put 1M in the bank" question, you basically have to answer the question - what is probability that people will steal $150K of my $1M before I get a chance to spend it.

If you have *any* turf that is not upgraded to the maximum or have not bought the max weapons or armor, then why aren't you spending that 1M right now? You can "invest" your money in the bank which is guaranteed to lose 15% or you can invest in turf upgrades that actually pay you money.

My opinion: there seems to be no motivation to save money.

I agree but if you become a target and you and your turfs are constantly being attacked, the bank is the way to go.

I use the bank everyday but losing 15% on top on the 10-40k for everytime I'm attacked is just not acceptable. I could spend it on more weapons, but the overwhelming mob numbers of the people who attack (no one less than 2x my mob number) would make it pointless. A .1-.5% interest rate on the money in the bank would allow us to slowly gain back a small percent of the cash we lose in deposit without making it unbalanced.

Bank should be renamed to the cleaners or something, otherwise fighting would never net $ as everyone would bank thier cash

The reason it is expensive to store your cash is to avoid people hoarding. If no one had money, no one would attack, and the game would be boring.

I bank my money because all of my turfs are maxed, I can't build more, there are no nearby turfs to capture, and because my mob size has surpassed my financial ability to afford them weapons. Basically: game over.
